Villa Parea

Villa Parea is a 210 sqm villa for up to 12 guests in Prinos, near Rethymno, Crete. It is one of 2 matching villas within a gated estate, each with its own private swimming pool.

The sleeping arrangements work well for families travelling together or a group of couples: 4 spacious bedrooms each have a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, while 2 additional attic rooms on the top floor each contain a double sofa bed. Bright living spaces, modern furnishings, a fully equipped kitchen and an indoor dining area give the group room to gather between outings.

Outside, sun loungers and umbrellas surround the pool and its integrated plunge section. A barbecue and outdoor dining area make lunch at home an easy part of the day. There is also a private balcony or terrace, with garden and mountain views. Pool heating is available at an extra charge.

Practical details include laundry facilities, an iron and ironing board, a cot and a high chair. The villa has a fireplace, individually controlled air conditioning, soundproof windows, Wi-Fi, cable and satellite TV, a Bluetooth speaker and a stereo with a CD player. The kitchen includes a refrigerator and coffee-making facilities; wardrobes, a safe and a writing desk are provided, along with showers, toiletries and a hairdryer. Bath and pool towels and private parking are available.

Prinos puts the stay outside the city, with Rethymno's old-town lanes and Venetian harbour as options for time away from the pool.

• Pool heating up to 27°C costs €250 for the first 3 full heating days and €80 for each additional day.
• A €400 cash damage deposit is required at check-in. It is returned on departure following an inspection, provided there is no damage or excessive cleaning required.
