Privacy policy
In short: we collect only what we need to answer you and arrange your holiday, share with the property what it needs for your booking, never sell your personal details, and send newsletters only to people who asked for them. This page explains in detail what we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it and what your rights are.
Who is responsible for your information
The site is run by Seascape Collection ("we", "us").
For any privacy question or request, including access, correction, deletion and unsubscribing, write to contact@seascapecollection.co.il.
What we collect
- When you send a request on a property page: your name, phone, email, dates, the number of adults and the children's ages, your message, the property and the price you were shown, and the consents you ticked with their wording and time.
- When you sign up for our newsletter: your email, language, the page you signed up on, and the consent wording you accepted with its time. We do not keep your IP address for this.
- When you fill in the contact form: your name, your email or phone (at least one), what you tell us about the holiday you are looking for, and, if you choose to give them, dates, a preferred destination and the number of travellers.
- When you contact us by WhatsApp, email or phone: what you tell us, and the details of the booking we arrange for you.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type and the pages you visit, recorded in the server logs and security systems of our service providers. An error report is sent when something fails, and performance measurements from a sample of visits, in both cases without your name, email or phone.
- Searches on the site may be recorded with a random visit identifier, never with your name or contact details.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To answer enquiries, check price and availability, arrange and manage bookings and look after you before and during your holiday: because you asked us to, and to carry out the booking.
- To send newsletters and marketing updates: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To secure the site, prevent fraud and abuse, fix faults and improve the site: our legitimate interest in running a safe site that works.
- To understand demand and improve what we offer: from searches on the site and from enquiries we produce aggregate statistics, for example about which destinations and dates people look for. The statistics are built so that they cannot be linked back to a particular person, and we may share them with or sell them to property owners and hotels.
- To meet our legal duties, such as accounting, and to defend legal claims.
With your analytics consent, we record search criteria and result counts under a random session identifier to understand demand and improve our selection; raw search records are deleted within 8 days, and only daily anonymous totals are kept.
Do you have to give us this information
No law requires you to give us information; it is your choice. Without contact details, dates and the make-up of your party we cannot answer a request or arrange a booking. Required fields are marked on our forms. Consent to newsletters is separate, optional and never a condition of booking. If you give us details about other guests, you should be entitled to do so and point them to this policy.
Who receives your information
- The property: for a booking you asked for, it receives what it needs to host you, such as the lead booker's name, the dates, the number of guests and the children's ages, and contact details where needed. The property also holds them under its own privacy policy.
- The booking-system provider that connects us to the properties, to check availability and arrange bookings.
- Service providers who run the site for us and receive only what their service needs: Railway (the servers that run the site and its database), Cloudflare (delivering the site, security, the Turnstile check on our forms and image storage), Sentry (error reports and performance measurements), Resend (the site's automatic emails), Google Workspace (our mailboxes), Meta (WhatsApp, when you contact us there, under WhatsApp's terms) and OpenFreeMap (the map server, which receives your IP address when a page shows a map, so that it can send the map to your browser).
- CookieYes, our cookie consent provider: it runs the cookie banner and records the choice you make in it.
- Authorities, where the law requires it or under a court order, and a buyer of our business, if it is sold, on the same terms.
Transfers outside Israel
The properties are in Greece, so booking details go to them, within the European Union. Some of our service providers operate in the European Union and the United States. We transfer information abroad only as the law allows and with the safeguards it requires.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and booking records: while they are needed for handling and service, and after that as long as our accounting duties and the defence of legal claims require.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only what we need to make sure we do not write to you again.
- Technical information, error reports and searches: for short periods, as each service is set up. Aggregate statistics are kept.
Security
We limit access to information to the team members who need it, encrypt traffic to the site, and use accepted security measures. No system is completely secure; if a security incident happens that must be reported, we will report it as the law requires.
Your rights
- Under Israel's Privacy Protection Law: to see the information about you, to ask us to correct or delete information that is not accurate, complete, clear or up to date, and to ask us to stop sending you marketing.
- If European Union or UK data protection law applies to you: also to ask for erasure, to restrict use, to receive your information or have it sent to someone else, and to object to use based on legitimate interests.
- To withdraw any consent you gave at any time, without affecting use made before.
- To complain to Israel's Privacy Protection Authority, or to the data protection authority where you live.
To use a right, write to contact@seascapecollection.co.il. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we reply within the periods the law sets. Information the law requires us to keep will not be deleted before its time.
Children
The site is meant for adults, and only people aged 18 or over may book. Children's ages are collected only to check that a property suits your party, its occupancy and the price.
Cookies
Which cookies and browser storage the site uses, and why, is set out in our cookie policy.
Analytics and site improvement
If you accept analytics cookies in CookieYes, we use Google Analytics 4 and PostHog to understand visits, campaign sources, searches, destinations and properties viewed, contact actions, booking requests, checkout steps, and completed or failed payments. We also measure clicks and basic page performance. We use these measures to improve the site and understand which journeys lead to enquiries and bookings. We process analytics data only with your consent. You can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
PostHog session replay runs only after analytics consent and only on public content and search pages. Recordings hide all text and inputs, so we cannot read what you typed. It does not record checkout, payment, or My bookings pages, URL query strings, or network request and response payloads. PostHog recordings are retained for one month and PostHog analytics events for one year. GA4 user and event data retention is set to its shortest available period of two months.
With analytics consent, we store first and last UTM campaign details and a referrer category for up to 30 days and attach a snapshot to a booking request or booking. We keep the attribution snapshot for as long as we keep the booking record. We use a random first-party visitor identifier for up to 30 days to count returning browsers. Returning guests are counted with an internal pseudonymous key that is not sent to Google or PostHog. We do not send your name, email, phone number, payment details, booking reference, or internal guest key to these analytics providers. We keep a record of your cookie choice so we can honour it.
You can change or withdraw your analytics choice at any time using CookieYes through the Cookie settings link. Withdrawal stops new analytics collection and resets the identifiers held by Google Analytics 4 and PostHog in your browser. Data already received by the providers remains subject to the retention periods above. Our site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect analytics data about children. To ask about your data, write to contact@seascapecollection.co.il. You can also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.
Analytics providers
Google Analytics 4 and PostHog receive analytics events only after your analytics consent. Google and PostHog act on our behalf under data processing terms and do not sell this data. PostHog stores data in the EU. Google may process analytics data in other countries, including the United States, under safeguards it provides. We do not link Google Ads until advertising campaigns are in use. Search Console reports search performance to us independently and does not receive the site's analytics event stream.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when something changes, for example before we offer online booking and payment or add measurement tools. We publish any material change here, and also tell you separately where the law requires it.
