Get to know Paros
Paros combines fishing harbours, sandy shores and hillside villages, so choosing a base starts with the setting rather than the room. Parikia and the west coast bring the arrival port, Kastro lanes and Ekatontapiliani into a town stay. Naoussa and the northern bay suit harbour dinners with outings towards Kolymbithres and Santa Maria. Marpissa and the east coast offer a different comparison: village streets inland, Piso Livadi's harbour, Logaras beach and the waterfront at Drios. Aliki and the south put fishing boats, tavernas and neighbouring beaches into the daily plan. Lefkes and the inland villages favour squares, church visits and walks, including the Byzantine path to Prodromos.
Antiparos is a separate island across the western channel, worth considering as either an outing or a distinct base.
Where to stay in Paros? We would choose the evening first: dinner around Naoussa's port, a wander through Parikia or a table beside the water in Aliki. The regions below help turn that preference into a village choice, then an accommodation address.
The villas and hotels we chose in Paros
Of every stay in Paros, these are the ones we would book for ourselves.
Where to stay in Paros?
First, choose the area that suits you
A harbour dinner, a beach morning and a village walk point towards different addresses on Paros. Parikia and Naoussa put town or harbour life into the stay; Lefkes brings an inland setting, while Piso Livadi and Aliki make the waterfront part of the comparison.
Our guide follows the west, north, east, south and inland villages. We suggest comparing Parikia with Naoussa first, then testing that preference against a coastal or village base. This gives a useful starting point for choosing hotels in Paros or a villa for your particular holiday.

Western Paros and Antiparos
Parikia combines the arrival port, Kastro streets and Livadia beach in a western town base
Read more
Parikia anchors the western coast as the island's capital and passenger port. Its old quarter includes the Kastro and Ekatontapiliani, while Livadia adds a beach to the town comparison. Parasporos, south of Parikia, offers a separate coastal setting beyond the centre.
We would start here for cafe stops, historical visits and evenings choosing between restaurants. Accommodation in the old town serves a different routine from an address outside it. Decide which places you want close at hand before comparing the rooms or terraces.
For Antiparos, the western port of Pounta has a ferry connection across the channel. Antiparos is a separate island, so staying there involves its own arrival plan rather than simply choosing another Parikia address.

Northern Paros
Naoussa harbour, the granite coves of Kolymbithres and Santa Maria shape the northern comparison
Read more
Naoussa sits on the northern coast around a fishing harbour and the remains of a Venetian fort. Tavernas, cafes and bars frame the waterfront. Piperi, Kolymbithres and Santa Maria give the wider area several beach choices, while Ampelas adds a fishing-village setting east-southeast of Naoussa.
This is our starting point for travellers who want harbour evenings alongside outings to the shore. A room inside Naoussa and accommodation around its bay serve different plans. Choose the harbour as your reference for dinners, or identify the particular beach you want beside your stay.
Kolymbithres consists of successive sandy coves divided by granite rocks. Choosing the actual cove makes a beach plan more useful than treating the whole bay as a single stretch of sand.

Eastern Paros
Marpissa lanes, Piso Livadi harbour and the beaches at Logaras and Golden Beach distinguish the east
Read more
Eastern Paros brings village and waterfront stays into one comparison. Marpissa has lanes, windmills and a sculpture museum, with Piso Livadi serving as its harbour. Logaras adds a sandy shore beside the port, while Golden Beach and Drios extend the choice southwards.
We would choose between village, harbour and beach before looking at individual accommodation. Marpissa favours architectural walks, Piso Livadi offers dining around a port, and Drios introduces a coastal village with a pier and tavernas. Each gives a different focus to days spent on this side of the island.
Golden Beach also has a windsurfing and watersports setting. If swimming is your priority, identify the particular beach stretch you want rather than choosing solely by the broad eastern-coast label.

Southern Paros
Aliki pier, fish tavernas and the shores of Piso Aliki and Faragas define the south
Read more
Aliki gives southern Paros a fishing-village focus, with boats by the pier and tavernas serving fish. Aliki beach, Piso Aliki and the coves around Faragas offer different starting points for time beside the water. The village also has the Skiadas Museum of Cycladic Folklore.
We would compare this area for a holiday connecting the shore with meals nearby. Couples and families can choose between accommodation within Aliki and addresses along the surrounding coast. Start with where you would like dinner, then consider the actual beach you want to use each day.
The municipal guide describes a paved coastal walkway towards Piso Aliki. If that beach is central to your plans, ask your accommodation to explain the full route from its own entrance.

Inland Paros
Lefkes marble church, the path to Prodromos and village squares bring the interior into view
Read more
Lefkes introduces inland Paros through hillside houses, Ramnos Street and Agia Triada, built with local marble. The Byzantine path links it with Prodromos, whose vaulted entrance leads into village lanes and cafes. Kostos and Marmara add further settlements to an inland outing.
We would consider this setting for travellers who want village walks, squares and churches to shape their holiday. Spending a day in Lefkes is a different decision from sleeping there. Compare it with a coastal base if returning to the water beside your accommodation is part of the daily plan.
Many Lefkes lanes cannot take cars. For accommodation in the old village, request the complete route from the luggage drop-off point to the door before settling on an address.
Found the area that suits you?
Now choose exactly where to stay
Parikia and Naoussa both offer lanes and restaurants, but an arrival-port town and a fishing-harbour evening are different choices. On the east coast, hillside Marpissa and waterfront Piso Livadi also lead to different routines.
Choose the place you would like to return to, then compare accommodation by its position relative to dinner and the beach. Antiparos appears beside the western options for comparison; it remains a separate island.

Parikia
For travellers who like old-town walks, museum visits and cafes beside the port
Parikia, the capital and passenger port of Paros, pairs Kastro lanes and Ekatontapiliani with cafes and nearby Livadia for a town-based holiday.
Our tip
Choose the part of Parikia you want nearby: Kastro for old-town walks, the port for arrival or Livadia for the beach. Ask for the full luggage-to-door route as well.

Antiparos
For couples and travellers who want a separate island base with harbour walks and a cave visit
Antiparos is a separate island west of Paros, with a harbour settlement, Kastro and inland cave, for travellers considering an outing or their own island stay.
Our tip
For an Antiparos stay, include the crossing from western Pounta in your arrival plan. On a day visit, arrange the return as carefully as the outward ferry and village outing.

Naoussa
For couples and friends who enjoy harbour dining, village lanes and evenings out
Naoussa on northern Paros brings fishing boats, a Venetian fort and harbour restaurants together for travellers who enjoy village evenings and beach outings.
Our tip
For harbour dinners followed by a walk home, compare the actual address with your chosen restaurants. Accommodation around the bay may suit a different, beach-led routine.

Marpissa
For couples and travellers who enjoy village architecture, windmills and sculpture
Marpissa is an eastern Paros hill village with windmills, lanes and a sculpture museum, for travellers who want village life alongside coastal outings.
Our tip
Compare a Marpissa address with Piso Livadi, its harbour. Choose the village for lanes beside your stay, or start at the port if dinner by the water anchors the evening.

Piso Livadi
For couples and families who like harbour meals and a nearby beach in the daily plan
Piso Livadi is Marpissa’s harbour on eastern Paros, with waterfront dining and neighbouring Logaras beach, for travellers planning meals and days by the water.
Our tip
Compare the address with both harbour restaurants and Logaras beach. If a boat excursion is part of the stay, fit the departure and return into your accommodation plans.

Drios
For couples and travellers who enjoy a coastal village, tavernas and southeast beach outings
Drios is a southeast Paros coastal village with a pier, sand-and-pebble shore and tavernas, for travellers considering Golden Beach and Lolantonis outings.
Our tip
In Drios, compare the route to the pier and chosen shore rather than relying on a sea view. Decide between sleeping by Golden Beach and visiting it from the village.

Aliki
For couples and families who enjoy fishing boats, waterfront meals and beach days
Aliki is a southern Paros fishing village with pier-side tavernas and neighbouring beaches, for travellers who want meals and days beside the water.
Our tip
Choose the address around the pier and the actual beach you want: Aliki and Piso Aliki are different spots. With children, ask for the complete room-to-shore route.

Lefkes
For couples and walkers who enjoy village cafes, marble churches and inland paths
Lefkes is an inland hill village with the marble church of Agia Triada and a Byzantine path to Prodromos, for travellers who enjoy walks and village cafes.
Our tip
For a stay in old Lefkes, ask for the route from luggage drop-off to the door: many lanes cannot take cars. Plan beach time as a separate outing from the village.

Prodromos
For couples and walkers who enjoy village gateways, small churches and cafe stops
Prodromos is an inland Paros village near Lefkes, with a vaulted gateway, churches and cafes, for travellers drawn to village walks and the Byzantine path.
Our tip
For the Lefkes-to-Prodromos path, decide where to start and how to return. For a village stay, also ask for the luggage route from your arrival point to the house.

Compare Parikia and Naoussa for town or harbour evenings, Piso Livadi, Drios and Aliki for a waterfront base, and Lefkes for an inland village setting. Choose the daily routine first, then the accommodation address.
A stay using walking and buses can work when the address and routes fit your plans. Use the KTEL network to compare bases, then match the nearest stop and return service with each outing.
Parikia suits an arrival-port base with old-town and cultural visits; Naoussa favours fishing-harbour dinners and northern beach outings. In either place, the exact position matters more than the town name alone.
They are separate islands. Paros offers several town, beach and inland bases; Antiparos has its own harbour settlement, Kastro and cave. Staying on Antiparos adds a ferry crossing to the arrival plan.
Confirm the actual accommodation category and who uses the pool. A private pool, shared pool and outdoor jacuzzi are different facilities; room layout and access to the outdoor space also matter for your group.
