For couples and travellers who want a separate island base with harbour walks and a cave visit
Arriving on Antiparos brings a harbour, Agia Marina and whitewashed houses into view. It is an island in its own right, rather than another Paros village. In the main settlement, a pedestrian street leads past shops and places to eat towards Agios Nikolaos Square and the Kastro gateway. The cave is a separate inland visit.
Consider staying when you want more than a brief stop around the harbour settlement. A day outing and an island base allow different plans, so choose between them before adding cave and beach visits.
The ferry from western Pounta on Paros provides the crossing. Fit it into the whole arrival and return itinerary. The cave involves a stairway descent, which deserves consideration when deciding whom the visit suits.
Our tip
For an Antiparos stay, include the crossing from western Pounta in your arrival plan. On a day visit, arrange the return as carefully as the outward ferry and village outing.

It is a fortified residential core in the settlement, with a courtyard, tower remains and entrance gateway, rather than a detached hilltop fortress.
No. The cave is inland and requires a separate outing from the harbour and pedestrian street. Access inside includes a stairway descent.
