Church in Prodromos lane

Prodromos

For couples and walkers who enjoy village gateways, small churches and cafe stops

Through a vaulted gateway with a bell tower, the entrance to Prodromos passes between Agios Spyridonas and Agios Nikolaos. Beyond it are whitewashed houses, gardens and cafes. The village lies inland near Lefkes, linked to it by the paved Byzantine path.

Give Prodromos time if a cafe stop and an unhurried walk appeal more than a long sightseeing list. Staying here means making the village part of the holiday itself. We would compare it with Lefkes, then decide how much of the week you want to spend on separate beach outings.

The old village is entered on foot, so request the house approach before booking. For the walk from Lefkes, include the finish and return in your plan. A coastal base suits immediate beach access better.

Our tip

For the Lefkes-to-Prodromos path, decide where to start and how to return. For a village stay, also ask for the luggage route from your arrival point to the house.
