Ianthe House

Ianthe House is a private historic estate in the heart of Oia, Santorini, accommodating up to 16 guests. Originally built as a traditional captain’s house, the property has been carefully restored to preserve its original character while introducing contemporary interiors and modern comforts.

The estate features 5 en-suite bedrooms arranged across two separate living areas, making it particularly well suited to large families or groups travelling together. The layout provides plenty of shared space while also allowing guests to enjoy a greater sense of privacy within the same property.

One of Ianthe House’s highlights is its rooftop, set at one of the higher points of Oia and featuring a private infinity pool with panoramic views across the Caldera, the Aegean Sea and Santorini’s sunset. The estate also features a private heated Jacuzzi, a traditional courtyard and an outdoor BBQ area.

Its location in the heart of Oia means guests can enjoy the privacy of an entire estate while being within walking distance of the village’s restaurants, shops and iconic streets. For larger groups looking to stay together in one of Santorini’s most distinctive locations, Ianthe House offers a rare combination of history, privacy and panoramic Caldera views.

The Cultural Heritage Building was restored in 2025. There are no steps from the road to the house entrance. The house has Starlink, Marshall and Dyson equipment, and a fireplace. Breakfast is included with every stay, with twice-daily housekeeping.

All five bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms: four beds are 180 cm wide and one is 160 cm wide, with sofa beds for additional guests. The rooftop infinity pool and jacuzzi are heated year-round. The whole house or either residence can be booked separately: one has three bedrooms and the other has two.
